Gibbs phenomenon removal
Matlab - 2009
The Matlab Postprocessing Toolkit (MPT) is a collection of Matlab
functions that implement modern edge detection and postprocessing
algorithms that remove the Gibbs
phenomenon form Fourier and Chebyshev approximations of
piecewise continuous functions in one and two space
dimensions. The software is intended for use in applications,
algorithm benchmarking, and educational purposes. The
availability of the MPT should foster the idea of reproducible
research in the area.
The MPT includes a graphical user interface (GUI) which allows
access to the postprocessing functions and to the example benchmark
problems. The development of the MPT is partially supported by
NSF grant DMS-0609747.
